Stay Tuned Report 43 Interview with Brooke Davison

Episode #43 is an interview edition featuring professional triathlete Brooke Davison.

Last year, BodyHealth.com wrote, "Brooke has just finished her first full year of competitive triathlon. She maintained an undefeated season. She has raced and won in Sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 distances with a total of 12 races. The most recent win at Ford Ironman 70.3 Clearwater, makes her the 2008 Female Amateur World Champion. Brooke joins the sport of triathlon building off of her background as an All American Collegiate swimmer at University of California Berkeley, recreational mountain biker, and runner. Brooke raced her first triathlon in July 2007, and was named a USAT All American after just 3 races. She was drawn to the sport when she started attending Masters swim practices taught by Dave Scott, who has since become her coach. Back in the pool and reconnecting with the sport she loved, it was an easy step to bring her passion for cycling and running into the mix. A strong competitive spirit and a fierce determination and fortitude prove to be a winning combination."

Listen in as I spoke with Brooke just days before she race Ironman 70.3 Florida.

Stay Tuned Report 40 Escape from Alcatraz

Episode #40 is now available for download on iTunes. This show features sounds of the Athletes for a Cure TwitterCast of the 2009 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco, California and exclusive interviews with three of the sport's dominant compitiors.

There's still gold in San Francisco and I found it in the athletes appearing on the show in one-on-one interviews. Hear three of the world's best talk about racing, their personal lives, and their future.

First up is a candid talk with 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Champion and 2004 Olympian Andy Potts. Andy and I talk about the Olympics, his racing style, his determination to succeed under tough conditions, and his family.

When it comes to Ironman glitteratti you don't get any more dazzling than 2006 Ironman World Champion Michillie Jones. In the interview Michillie marvels at the beauty of the race venue, talks about her plans to return to Ironman Hawaii, and why she races with the logo of Athletes For a Cure.org

and...

I chased down 2009 Escape from Alcatraz Women's Champion, Mary Beth Ellis just minutes after she won the race. Listen as she recaps the day and, at the end, calls me her good luck charm!

Look for interviews in upcoming episodes with these world class triathletes I met at the race too:

Two-time defending Escape from Alcatraz Champion, Leanda Cave,
2008 Ironman Canada Champion, Bryan "Rhodesy" Rhodes, and
USA National Triathlon Team member, Brian Fleischmann.

The race coverage and the show is dedicated to Athletes For a Cure.org and the millions of families affected by prostate cancer. Without their support and guidance this episode would not be possible. Visit them today at www.AthletesForACure.org
